The B2B Marketing Area within the Sales and Development Division provides business solutions to meet client requirements.
We are looking for a focused and enthusiastic statistician to join the team to help build on its reputation as a centre of excellence for helping clients market more effectively.
You will be involved in helping clients clarify their requirements, suggesting solutions and supporting the translation of business needs into delivered solutions.
It is expected that you will be involved in cross functional tenders and thus there is a requirement for effective written and oral communication.
Working often to tight deadlines in a supportive team environment this is an ideal opportunity to make the most of your statistical skills, develop knowledge of a wide range of different industries, some of which are based aboard. Thus role may require occasional international travel.
Educated at least to degree level in a numerate discipline with a second degree in Statistics or OR.
Minimum 3 years experience covering data analysis and modelling progressing to consultancy involved in liasing and selling solutions directly with external clients.
You must have the ability to identify clients real requirements. Good communication and client relationship skills are needed.
You should be a proactive team player, helping others to contribute to possible cross functional solutions.
You need to show attention to detail, ensuring that solutions get effective delivery.
You will have the ability to understand how statistical analysis of data can improve business effectiveness. You must be competent in the use of SAS or SPSS.
A high level of computer literacy is a pre-requisite.
