Account Manager - Set and achieve monthly forecasts within the Test and Measurement market. Qual: Technical degree, BSc, HNC in Telecomm, elec eng, phys Etc. Exp: From a relevant sector, worked within global org, field sales, comm skills.
To achieve target order input for the area and produce an accurate and up to date business forecast on at least a monthly basis.
2) Planning and Paperwork
The ability to work together with Product Managers and other colleagues to produce and maintain effective major account development strategies.
The ability to plan and report effectively and concisely.
3) Call Rate/Demo Rate
To achieve where possible the maximum calls/demos per week.
4) Area/Customer Knowledge
To develop the major accounts and be aware of the company structure, key business factors and the decision making process within the organisation.
Establish positive relationships with customers that generate a mutual understanding of professional, commercial and personal willingness to "work together ".
5) Product Knowledge/Demo Techniques/Selling Skills
Good level of product knowledge and ability to provide relevant customer solutions. The ability to present the required demonstrations and have the selling/negotiating skills necessary.
Product knowledge to be sufficient to provide relevant customer solutions and recognise selling opportunities for the whole product range, as appropriate to the account.
Demonstrations to be clear, concise, relevant and show solutions to the customers mutually agreed needs.
Experience within a relevant sector of the industry
NumerateAbility to deal with all levels within the customers organisation
Field sales experience
Experience within multicultural global organisation, especially Japanese/US
Commercial experience (contractual terms and conditions)
Prior account management experience
